We're not done 'till we hit the floor (woah-oh).
We're not going down without a fight.
Resilience runs straight through our veins
clear the way, we'll take flight tonight.
Though the heart didn't take, we're alive,
and we'll settle the score.
Make way, we're not done 'till we hit the floor.

Doubt On Oak Street

It started at 7:00
I rolled up in my car and it read 7:25 on my watch.
My clothes didn't seem to match
and my hair was a rat's nest.
I conversed with a blank stare as my eyes shifted to the left.
I'm giving up- this conversation has ceased.
She makes my pretty words seem silly.
Impress you? What a laugh! I'm though.
Am I the most awkward man alive, or just in the room?
"It looks like rain", I said to one patron, even though the sun was perfect in the sky.
My fingers started to twitch as I ended my statement, and made my way to her side.
"So...". I trailed on, and proceeded to tell her
how I break a $20 every night.
She's thinking I'm out of my mind.
I'm giving up- this conversation has ceased.
She makes my pretty words seem silly.
Impress you? What a laugh! I'm though.
Am I the most awkward man alive, or just in the room?
I'm giving up- this conversation has ceased.
She makes my pretty words seem silly.
Impress you? What a laugh! I'm though.
Am I the most awkward man alive, or just in the room?

Adrift In Manhattan
03:39
|
|||
I built this boat with all the wood my hands could carry
Just a single man gambling his life into the sea.
The shores of home behind my back
never looked so good,
but I set the sail, and hold my breath
that waves would welcome strangers if they could.
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
Through these waters open
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
There's so much that I've been missing
Singing-
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
And across the ocean
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
I will sail with both eyes open.
I saw the pyramids in detail on my journery
where I docked the boat in Cairo,
then proceeded straight to Rome without a hurry.
In the shadows of these monuments
I felt so powerless.
If human kind can build such feats
then why can't I just build myself some courage?
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
Through these waters open
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
There's so much that I've been missing
Singing-
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
And across the ocean
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
I will sail with both eyes open.
So poweful as the waves crash down.
Compass-Rose as the map guides the way home.
So poweful as the waves crash down.
Compass-Rose as the map guides the way home.
I'm driftin' (woah-oh-oh-oh) I'm driftin'
As the current brings me home.
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
Through these waters open
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
There's so much that I've been missing
Singing-
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
And across the ocean
Na-na-na-la-la-da-da-da-da
I will sail with both eyes open.

Could Always Be Worse...
03:01
|
|||
I fought the news and coped with stress
Got down on my luck and crawled in to bed.
But oh, I'm glad I had you there
in the midst of such a terrible mess.
"It could always be worse". you whisper to me, so softly, "I know it hurts getting older".
"It could always be worse". you whisper to me, so softly, "I know there's a silver lining at the bottom".
Played these sad songs over in my head
There seemed no solution, it was failure at best
But oh, I'm glad I had you there
in the midst of such a terrible mess.
"It could always be worse". you whisper to me, so softly, "I know it hurts getting older".
"It could always be worse". you whisper to me, so softly, "I know there's a silver lining at the bottom".
I know there's a silver lining at the bottom
I'll return the favor, solve your problems.
We all fall down in times not our best
Get down on our luck, and hang our heads.
But rest my friend, for there's hope for you yet
It's part of time on the Earth...
It could always be worse...

Desmond Hume's Song
02:28
|

I'm not going back to the island
I'm gonna stay here with Penny and my son
on our little boat, hope floats.
You're crazy and so is Ms. Hawking
Now Penny's my constant
I've seen enough, cause without love in the army
I was going nuts
Snowmen
Down the hatch I've been
I haven't felt quiet safe since they killed Charlie Pace
I don't need no smoke monsters, or exploding subs
All I need, Penny is you.
I'm not going back to the island
No matter how many times you ask me Jack
I've seen my future and the past
and it's all rubbish without her
go hand with Locke and have a war
while I'm on the shore with my one true love
Snowmen
Down the hatch I've been
I haven't felt quiet safe since they killed Charlie Pace
I don't need no smoke monsters, or exploding subs
All I need, Penny is you.
I've seen so much but there's one thing for sure
Widmore can't stop me with anything he could do
Cause all I need, Penny is you.

Walk Beside Me
02:51
|
|||
Na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na
In stride- left foot, right
kissing at the stop lights
pacing both our lives on borrowed time.
The world is so dark
we're lighting such contagious fires,
sparking from a love we can't describe.
Swear to me if the time stopped
we would keep on moving
unscathed an praying to God
that when the wrinkles crawl across my face
you'll be there to walk beside me when I'm gray.
This isn't just a love song
it could go for anyone that walks in step
with your anger, love, and pride.
Just take my shaking palm in yours-
we'll be two peaceful people in a bellicose world.
Emotions flood our pores
and we swim freely in this sea exchanging words.
Swear to me if the time stopped
we would keep on moving
unscathed an praying to God
that when the wrinkles crawl across my face
you'll be there to walk beside me when I'm gray.
We don't have to go home
with the pavement at our heels.
You're never alone-
with me you've got nothing to fear.
Walk in step with the smiles that stretch on our lips
rotate your hips, and walk beside me here.
When you walk beside me just know,
that I will always be here- I won't let you go.
